A digitizing tablet or graphic tablet is a peripheral that allows users to add graphics or drawings by hand, as you would with pencil and paper. It also allows point-and-found objects on the screen. It consists of a flat surface on which the user can draw a picture using the stylus (pen) that comes with the tablet. The picture appears on the tablet but is displayed on the screen of the computer. Some graphic tablets are designed for use by replacing the mouse as the primary pointing device.
